Konrad Sokolow, a member of the petty bourgeois (Kleinbürger), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Husaren on 13 June 1765. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5 along with his wife Akulina and daughter Awdotia (age 3).

The 1767 census records that Konrad Sokolow came from the Polish village of Polozk.
