Spahn (Pfeifer)
Andrea Spahn, a farmer, and his wife Fransisca arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Pfeifer on 20 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 61 along with his new wife, Katharina, and orphan Klara Heim (age 9), daughter of the deceased Philipp Heim. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Spahn and Heim families.
In 1791, Nikolaus Spahn moved from Paulskaya [sic] to Göbel. Nikolaus Spahn from Pfeifer and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Göbel in Household No. Gb35.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Spahn came from the German village of Schönborn [?] in the Pfalz region.
