Sparwasser
Johann Sparwasser, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Vergelte Weintraube under the command of Skipper Anderson.
It appears that only two daughters survived to settle in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767. Katharina Maragaretha (age 13) is recorded on the 1767 census of Warenburg in Household No. 14 along with her sister, Anna Margaretha (age 22), who is married to Johann Simsen.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that the Sparwasser family came from the German area of Darmstadt.
