Johann Georg Spielmann [Plehve records this surname as Thillmann], a farmer, his wife Anna Katharina, son Bartholomaeus (age 2-weeks), and mother Anna Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Lieutenant Gawril Poduzki.

Johann Georg Spielmann, his wife Anna Catrina, son Johann Bartholomeus (age ½), and widow Anna E. are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that widow Anna E. Spielmann died en route.

Johann Georg Spielmann, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Stephan on 24 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.

The widow and children of Johann Georg Spielmann are recorded on the 1798 census of Stephan in Household No. Sp37.

Bartholomeus Spielmann and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Stephan in Household No. Sp38.

In 1796, Georg Spielmann moved from Stephan to Shcherbakovka.
