Peter Spikermann, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental on 15 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 76 along with his new wife Anna from the village of Schersch in France.

In 1786, widower Peter Spikermann moved from Mariental to Franzosen.

The 1798 census of Kamenka records Peter Spikermann from Mariental in Household No. Km087.

The 1767 census records that Peter Spikermann came from the German district of Geseke.
