Stadler (Leitsinger)
Georg Stadler and his wife Margaretha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Frei Gebruder under the command of Skipper Minzberger.
Georg Stateler [sic], his wife Margretha, and daughter Barbara (born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that daughter Barbara also died en route.
Georg Stadler, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 19 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 56.
In 1789, Georg Stadler "ran away."
The 1767 census records that Georg Stadler came from the German village of Burgau in the Kurbayern region.
