Stahldecker
Lorenz Stahldecker and his wife Marianna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the Skipper Paul Adam Drath.
Lorenz Stoldeker [sic], his wife Maria Anna, and son [?] Nikolaus [surname not recorded] (age 8, died en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 19 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 52.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Lorenz Stahldecker was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a tailor (Schneider).
The 1767 census records Lorenz Stahldecker came from the German village of Sigmaringen near Oberesterhof.
