Franz Staiger and his family immigrated to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 May 1767.
The parents died. The surviving children are recorded on the 1767 census of Leichtling in Household No. 36 along with the Bernhard Eder family.
No relationship between the Staiger and Eder families is recorded on the 1767 census.
