Stecker (Zürich)*
Johann Peter Stecker, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder.
Johann Peter Steker [sic] is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Peter Stecker, his new wife Christina, and stepdaughter Barbara (surname not recorded) are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 26 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Zürich in 1768.
The same family appears to be recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 20 where Peter's new wife is named Katharina, and the stepdaughter is Barbara Bachmann. There is a similar note indicating that this Johann Peter Stecker relocated to the colony of Zürich in 1768.
The 1767 census appendix to Katharinenstadt records that Peter Stecker came from the German village of Tarsilant. The 1767 census appendex to Beauregard records that Johann Peter Stecker came from the German village of Heneswarl [?].
