Anton Stein, a soldier (Soldat), and his wife Eva Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Husaren on 17 February 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29.
The 1767 census records that Anton Stein came from the village of Dorfern in Austria.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Stein family among the Volga German colonies.
