Steinbecher*
Widow Anna Margaretha Steinbecher and her daughter Anna Katharina (age 5½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard the Russian pink Vologda under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.
Orphan Katharina Steinbecher, daughter of the deceased Anna Margaretha Steinbecher, is recorded on the 1767 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. 24 along with the Johann Klaus Hahn family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Steinbecher and Hahn families.
Katharina Steinbecher is recorded on the 1798 census of Reinwald in Household No. Rw14 as the wife of Konrad Reimer.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that the Steinbecher family came from the German region of Darmstadt.
There are no surviving male lines of this Steinbecher family among the Volga German colonies.
