Johann Wilhelm Steinhauer, son of Wilhelm Steinhauer, was baptized 7 May 1752 in Wolfenhausen.
Johann Wilhelm Steinhauer, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Die Neue Freiheit von Bremen under the command of Skipper Steingrawer.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 171.
The 1798 census of Bangert records Johann Wilhelm Steinhauer from Warenburg in Household No. Bg02.
The 1767 census records that Johann Wilhelm Steinhauer came from the German village of Wolfenhausen [in the region of Runkel].
