Steinmetz (Frank)*
Jacob Steinmetz, son of Johann Michael Steinmetz, married Anna Christina Hartmann, daughter of Johann Georg Hartmann, on 16 January 1766 in the Evangelical Church in Offenbach (am Main), about 9 kilometers southeast of Frankfurt.
Jacob & Anna Christina emigrated to Russia. They departed from Reval [Estonia] aboard the pink Slon under the command of the lieutenant Sergey Panov, and arrived at the Russian port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Frank where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 22.
On the 1798 Census, the family is recorded in Frank in Household No. Fk019.
There are no known suriving male lines of this Steinmetz family among the Volga German colonies.
