Michael Stellwagen, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and daughter Katharina (age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Diana under the command of Skipper Markus Draguhn.
Both Michael and his wife died. Their 9-year-old daughter Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss where she is recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 96 with the Michael Resch family.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that the Stellwagen family came from the German region of Ansbach.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Stellwagen family among the Volga German colonies.
