Sternagel
Johann Martin Sternagel, a farmer, his wife Catharina, and daughters (Catharina, age 18; Elisabeth, age 16) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767 and is recorded there as a widower along the 1767 census in Household No. 46 along with the family of his son-in-law Johann Schmidt.
There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Martin Sternagel came from the German region of Hannover.
