Stertzer
Johann Stertzer & Dorothea Inhoff were married on 28 May 1765 in Roßlau. They are believed to be the couple who settled in the Volga German colony of Louis.
Johann Stürtzer and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 June 1766. Johann Stürtzer, a farmer, his [new] wife Eva, son Michael (age 1), and stepson Mattias Neuf (age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Louis in Household No. 34.
In 1788, Johann Stertzer and his family moved from Louis to Mariental.
Michael Stertzer from Louis and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Mariental in Household No. Mt43.
The 1767 census records that Johann Stürmer came from the German region of Bamberg.
