Strack (Zürich)*
Christoph Strack, a potter (Töpfer), his wife Anna, and son Heinrich (age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the ship Der Jung Heinrich under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.
Christoph, his new wife Katharina, and newborn daughter (Katharina, age 6-months) are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census in a list those recruited by Beauregard (No. 100). They are recorded on the 1798 census in Zürich in Household No. Zr31.
The 1767 census records that Christoph Strack came from the German village of An der Haar.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Strack family among the Volga German colonies.
