Johann Philipp Strom, a stonemason, and his sister Katharina Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the galliot Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hussenbach.
The 1798 census of Hussenbach records Johann Philipp Strom's widow and daughter in Household No. Hs086.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Philipp Strom came from the German region of Pfalz.
