Johann Tak, a farmer, his wife Eva Katharina, and son Nikolaus (age 16) are recorded on the 1767 census of Schuck in Household No. 36. They had settled there on 1 May 1767.

The 1767 census records that Johann Tak came from the German region of Trier.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
