Franz Tege and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

Franz and a new wife Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24 along with a note that they are missing (verschollen).

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Franz Tege was a physician while the 1767 census records that He was a soldier (Soldat).

The 1767 census records that Franz Tege came from the German town of Straßburg in France.
