Johannes Tersich, a tailor (Schneider), and his wife Maria are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 98 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Susannental in 1768.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Tersich came from the German village of Elz.
