Johann Peter Traudt, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Anna Margaretha (age 6½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Strelna under the command of Lieutenant Sornev. They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Peter Traudt was a miller from the German region of Isenburg. The 1767 census records that he was a farmer from the German village of Birstein in the Isenburg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Traudt family among the Volga German colonies.
