Johann Georg Vogelmann from Elwangen [sic] & Anna Maria Nöthens from Offenbach were married on 1 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.
Johann Vogelmann, a weaver (Weber), and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English frigate named Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 79 along with 3-day-old daughter Anna Maria.
Georg Vogelmann and his family are recorded on the 1775 census of Kamenka in Household No. 62.
Barbara Klehr née Vogelmann (age 27) and her brother Johannes Vogelmann (age 22) are recorded on the 1798 census of Kamenka in Household No. Km079.
The marriage of Johann[es] Vogelmann to Margaretha Krieger on 19 January 1804 in Göbel is recorded in the parish register of Semenovka.
Johannes Vogelmann and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Kamenka in Household No. 70.
Anna Marie Sachs née Vogelmann (age 31) from Kamenka are recorded on the 1798 census of Semenovka in Household No. Se42.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Vogelmann came from the German region of Schwaben (Swabia) while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Ellwangen.
