Joseph Adam Vogt, a sexton (Küster), and his wife Maria Agnessa settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 6 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 18.

The 1767 census records that Joseph Adam Vogt came from the German village of Krautheim in the Kurmainz region.
