Wachtmeister
Johann Heinrich Wachtmeister from [the duchy of] Sachsen-Meiningen and Barbara Elisabeth Göbel from Eisenach married on 25 April 1766 in Büdingen.
Johann Heinrich Wachtmeister, a farmer, and his wife, Barbara Elisabeth, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Strelna under the command of Lieutenant Sornev.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 20 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 74.
The 1798 census of Pfeifer records the children of Johann Heinrich Wachtmeister in Household No. Pf29.
Kaspar Wachtmeister and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Pfeifer in Household No. 84.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Heinrich Wachtmeister was a farmer from the German village of Meiningen. The 1767 census records that he was a tailor (Schneider) from the German region of Sachsen-Meiningen.
