Georg Peter Wacker, son of Johann David & Anna Catharina Wacker, was born 22 June 1744 in Gaibach.
Peter Wacker, a miller (Müller), and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard a ship named Die Neue Fortuna (The New Fortune) under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.
Peter Wacker is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
The settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 106.
In 1788, Peter Wacker moved from Preuss to Messer. In 1789, Peter Wacker and his family moved from Preuss to Beideck.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Wacker came from the German region of Würzburg. The 1767 census records that they came from the German village of Schwabach near Würzburg.
