Johann Ernst Wagner, a printer, his wife Johanna Sophia Dorothea, and children (Johann Bernhard, age 11; Elisabeth Margaretha, age 7; Susanna Elisabeth, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 August 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Drei Gebrüder (Three Brothers) under the command of Skipper Ludwig Münzenberg.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hussenbach. The 1798 census of Hussenbach records son Johann Bernhard Wagner in Household No. Hs108.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Ernst Wagner came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony).
