Johannes Wagner (age 18), a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a pinque named Каргополь (Kargopol: a Russian City) under the command of Captain Lieutenant Moses Davydov.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Köhler on 21 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 6 along with his sister and brother-in-law, Joseph Gareis.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Wagner family among the Volga German colonies.
