Johann Theobald Wagner, a farmer from Oberflockenbach in the Heidelberg region of the Kurpfalz, arrived in Fridericia, Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) on 15 May 1760.
The parish register of Kolding [Denmark] records on 29 June 1760 the marriage of Theobald Wagner to Maria Margaretha Meyer. In December 1760, they are recorded in the Danish colony of Friderichsmose.
The parish register of Thorning records on 17 April 1761 the baptism of Johann Georg Wagner, son of Theobald & Anna [sic] Margaretha Wagner. The child's death is recorded there on 2 July 1761.
The Wagner family is last recorded in the Danish colonies on 26 April 1763.
The parish register of the Reformed Church of Saints Peter & Paul in Danzig records that Johann Theobald Wagner from the Pfalz & Christina Tiefenthaler from the Pfalz, widow of [Andreas] Tiefenthaler, were married on 19 May 1765 in Danzig. [See Tiefenthaler Family.]
Theobold Wagner, a farmer, his wife Christina [widow Tiefenthaler], [step-]children (Anna Elisabeth [Tiefenthaler], age 18; Friedrich [Riebler], age 17; Anna Margaretha [Tiefenthaler], age 4) are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 9. They had settled there on 1 July 1766.
The Eichhorns record that Theobald Wagner came from the German village of Oberflockenbach. The 1767 census records that Theobold Wagner came from the German area of the Kurpfalz.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Wagner family among the Volga German colonies.
