Discussion & Documentation
Gerhard Wall, son of Johann Wall & Margaretha Regier, was born in May 1835 in Schönsee, Gross Werder, West Prussia. He immigrated with his parents to Russia in 1853. His mother died during the trip to Russia. It is believed that Gerhard first settled in the Volga German Mennonite colony of Köppental. He is recorded on a list of those who settled in the colony of Fresenheim in 1861.
He married on 23 February 1861 to Margaretha Hamm, daughter of Michael Hamm & Helena Klaassen.
