Johann Philipp Walter, wagon maker (Wagner), son of Johann Peter Walther [sic] from Kirchberfurt, & Anna Maria Weber, daughter of Johann Balthasar Weber, a hunter (Jäger) in the service of General von Betlack [sic] from Erlau, were married on 6 May 1766 in the Lutheran Church in Fränkisch-Crumbach. The parish register records that she also has an illegitimate son with Adam Dörr from Güttersbach.

The entire family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Hermann Anderson.

The family is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Eva died after arrival in Russia and Peter remarried the widow Anna Elisabeth Seibel. Peter Walter and Anna Elisabeth along with their combined Walter/Seibel children settled in Walter on 25 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Households No. 1 & No. 41.
