Discussion & Documentation
Widower Andreas Walwetz, a craftsman (Handwerker), settled in the Volga German colony of Dreispitz on 16 September 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 26 along with a note that he is living with the Christian Wilhelm family.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Walwetz came from the German town of Magdeburg in the Brandenburg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Walwetz family among the Volga German colonies.
