Weber (Brabander)

There are two Weber families that arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard the galliot Der Jan under the command of Skipper Markus Dragun.  They travelled together from St. Petersburg to Saratov and both settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research:

(1) Peter Weber, a blacksmith, his wife Anna Elisabeth, and children (Maria, age 12; Katharina, age 10 Anna, age 7; Peter, age 4) arrived in Oranienbaum.

Peter Weber, his wife Anna Elisabeth, and daughters (Maria, age 12; Catharina, age 10¼; Anna Weber, age 7, died en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Peter Weber, a blacksmith (Schmied), his wife Anna, and daughters (Anna Maria, age 15; Anna Katharina, age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Brabander in Household No. 102. They had settled there on 19 August 1767.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Weber came from Luxembourg. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Kestenhof.

(2) Peter Weber, son of Franz Weber from Breidweiler, married on 29 April 1765 in Consdorf to Catharina Braun, daughter of Johannes Braun from Consdorf.

Peter Weber, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived in Oranienbaum.

Peter Weber and his wife Katharina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Peter Weber, a farmer, and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 19 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 57.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Weber came from the German region of Ansbach. The 1767 census records that Peter Weber came from the village of Consdorf in Luxembourg.
