Johannes Weber, a farmer, and his wife Regina Klara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboad the ship Der Jager under the command of Skipper Gabriel Wild.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 102.
The widow of Johannes Weber and their children (Johannes, age 16; Anna Maria, age 12) are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps50.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Weber came from the German village of Drees in the Kurtrier.
