Weber (Preuss-3)
There are two Weber families that settled in Preuss that are believed to be father and son. They both settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767.
(1) Johannes Weber (age 49), a farmer, and his wife Susanna are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 66.
(2) Johann Weber (age 25), a farmer, and his wife Katharina are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 66.
Michael Weber, presumed to be the son of Johann Weber, is recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps83.
Michael Weber is recorded on the 1811 census of Preuss in Household No. 84 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Seelmann in 1805.
Michael Weber from Preuss is recorded on the 1811 census of Seelmann in Household No. 25 along with a note that he had arrived in Seelmann from Preuss in 1805.
The 1767 census records that both of these families came from the French village of Dalow [?] in the Champagne region.
