Johann Nicolaus Weigand from Niederweiler in the area of Baden married on 12 May 1766 in the City Lutheran Church of Friedberg to Clara Christina Mohr from Niederwiesen in the Pfaltz.
Nikolaus Weigandt, a farmer, and his wife Klara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard a ship named Der Ringende Jacob (The Wrestling Jacob) under the command of Skipper Johann Heitmann.
Johann Weigand, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his wife Klara Christina arrived in the Volga German colony of Kukkus on 26 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 43.
Johann Konrad Weigand from Kukkus is recorded on the 1834 census of Warenburg (Household No. 220).
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Nikolaus Weigandt came from the German region of Baden. The 1767 census records that Johann Weigand came from the German village of Niederweiler from the region of Baden-Durlach.
