Philipp Weinzettel, a single hat maker (Hutmacher), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Frei Gebruder under the Skipper Minzberger.
Phillipp Weinzettel is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Köhler on 21 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 39 along with his new wife Maria Barbara Weinbär (sic) [Weinbender].
The 1767 census records that Philipp Weinzettel came from the village of Mondsee in Hungary.
