Michael Wenzel (age 18) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the galliot Die Fortuna under the command of Skipper Peter Stahl.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Galka on 27 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 44 along with his brother-in-law Konrad Ladner.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Michael Wenzel came from the German region of Darmstadt.
