Christian Wilhelm, a farmer, and his wife Anna Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Dreispitz on 16 September 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 15.

The 1767 census records that Christian Wilhelm came from the German village of Seifhennersdorf in Sachsen (Saxony).

There are no known surviving male lines of this Wilhelm family among the Volga German colonies.
