Joseph Wilhelmi, a cooper (Fassbinder), his wife Amalia Friedrika, and son Michael Friedrich (age 8-weeks) are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 28. They had settled there on 27 August 1766.

Son [Michael] Friedrich Wilhelmi and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka116.

His sons and their families are recorded on the 1834 census of Katharinenstadt in Households No. 18, 227, 291, & 319.

The 1767 census records that Joseph Wilhelmi came from the German village of Konstanz in the Schwaben (Swabia) region and that his wife came from the village of Stadthagen in Luxembourg.
