Discussion & Documentation

Georg Reichold, a barber (Friseur), his wife Sophia Magdalena, and stepchildren (surname Wogau) arrived on 27 August 1766 in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No 11.

The 1798 census of Katharinenstadt records that in 1798, Karl Friedrich Wogau left Katharinenstadt for an unidentified location.

The 1767 census records that Sigmund Wogau (age 13) came from the German village of Warenburg in Kloster Leichtstädte (?).
