Jakob Wolf, a farmer, his wife Wilhelmina, and adopted son Philipp (age 8) [surname not recorded] are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 40. They had settled there on 12 May 1767.
The 1767 census records that Jakob Wolf came from the German village of Ateleng [?] in the Kurtrier region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Wolf family among the Volga German colonies.
