Heinrich Wolter, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Paulskaya on 17 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 50 along with his stepson Daniel Seiftenberg (age 11).
The 1767 census records that Heinrich Wolter came from the German village of Gasteheim.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Wolter family among the Volga German colonies.
