Gabriel Wulf, a baker (Bäcker), his wife Antonia, and children (Marianna, age 8; Johann, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Die Neue Freiheit von Bremen under the command of Skipper Steingrawer.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 13 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 7.
The 1767 census records that Gabriel Wulf came from the German village of Belingen in the Kurpfalz region.
