Jacob Wittenberg [sic], a single baker, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 August 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Drei Gebrüder (Three Brothers) under the command of Skipper Ludwig Münzenberg.
Philipp [Jakob] Württemberger, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 26.
The 1834 census of Walter records in 1822 the death of Philipp Jakob Württemberger in Household No. 45 with no surviving male heirs. Consequently this family does not continue among the Volga German colonies.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Jakob Wittenberg [sic] came from the region of Emsen [?]. The 1767 census records that Philipp Wittenberger came from the French village of Landau.
