Valentin Ziegler, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha arrived from Lübeck on 14 August 1766 aboard a 2-masted merchant ship named Die Jungfer Frederika (The Maiden Frederika) under the command of Skipper Hans Christian Korsholm.
Phalentin Zigler [sic] and his wife Catrina [sic] are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Valentin Ziegler, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha are recorded on the 1767 census of Pfeifer in Household No. 100. They had settled in Pfeifer on 22 August 1767.
In 1790, Valentin Ziegler moved from Pfeifer to Göbel.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Valentin Ziegler came from the German region of Württemberg. The 1767 census records that Valentin Ziegler came from the German village of Arnstein in the Würzburg region.
