[Johann] Daniel Zimmer, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard the 2-masted merchant ship named Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Adolph Scharpenberg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Straub on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Daniel Zimmer came from the German region of Solms while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Niederursel [?] in the region of Frankfurt am Main.
