Jakob Zweigatt, a butcher (Fleischer), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 77.
The 1767 census records that Jakob Zweigatt came from the German village of Endingen.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
