Brungardt, Andreas

Father Brungardt was born in Hildmann, and died 2 November 1923. He was ordained 9 July 1872. He served the Kamenka Parish from 1872 to 1873, was in Köhler in 1887, Husaren in 1901, and Graf in 1903. He returned to Hildmann from 1919-1921.

Brungardt, Michael

Father Brungardt was born in 1875 in the Volga Region. He studied at the Saratov Seminary and was ordained in 1898. From then to 1901, he served the parish of Mariental. In 1903 he went to serve in Marienberg, and in 1905 to Streckerau. He also served Husaren from 1909 to 1910, Volmer from 1910 to 1920, Pfeifer from 1920 to 1928, and went to Hildmann in 1928.

He was arrested in 1930, but was not convicted. Five years later, he was arrested again and brought to Odessa where he was imprisoned. It is likely that he died in prison there.

Buck, Johann Heinrich

Johann Heinrich Buck was born in Vörden near Bersenbrück, Hannover (Prussia). Schnurr describes him as "from Osnabrück."

He began his theological studies on 16 October 1788 in Halle. From 1793-1798, he served as the pastor in Dietel. From 1798 to 1820, he was pastor in Katharinenstadt (South) parish. From 1820 to 1831, he was pastor in Rosenheim.

He married Elisabeth Müller, the daughter of Ludwig Müller from Bieber near Hanau in Hessen-Nassau (Prussia) who was employed as a government official in Saratov.

Büttner, Johann Reinhard

The Rev. Johann (Hans) Reinhard Büttner was born 3 January 1871 in Riga and died ca. 1957 in Lomatzsch, Saxony. He was ordained in Saratov on 31 August 1908 and served the following parishes: Rosenberg, Kamyshin (1908-1913), and Hoffental (1913-1918). In 1918, he moved to Germany.

Zittel

Johann Jakob Zittel was born in 1707 in Durlach, today a borough of the city of Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg. He married Christina Stauffer who was born in 1717.      

Zitterkopf

Johannes Zitterkopf, son of Conrad Zitterkopf & Anna Elisabeth Kleinschmidt, was baptized on 23 August 1686 in Büdingen.

The marriage of Johannes Zitterkopf from Breitenborn and Christina Eichhorn is recorded in the Büdingen parish records on 16 November 1713. Johannes Zitterkopf died 6 September 1714.

Zorn (Volmer)

Benedict Zorn, son of Johann Georg & Catharina Zorn, was born in Gernsheim on 1 March 1738. He married in Landau in der Pfalz on 4 February 1764 to Margaretha Kühnberger, daughter of Caspar & Maria Apollonia Kühnberger.       

Benedict immigrated to Russia. His wife died either before he left Germany or en route.

Benedict Zorn settled in the Volga German colony of Volmer on 18 June 1766, and is listed there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 42 with a new wife named Katharina (age 16).

Wacker (Frank)

Johann Paul Wacker, son of Johannes Wacker & Anna Susanna Maria Klippert, was born 10 December 1741 in Crainfeld where both of his parents had been born. He was the great grandson of Johann Jacob Wacker (who died 4 March 1711 in Crainfeld) and Maria Lauffer. Johann Jacob Wacker is the son of Johannes Wacker from Allmenrod, Germany, who was born about 1620.
