Dittler, Eduard

Father Eduard Dittler was born in 1875 in the Volga German colony of Hildmann.

He studied theology at the Catholic Seminary in Saratov and was ordained on 2 November 1897.

He served as the acting parish priest in the colony of Louis from 15 November 1897 to 1902. He became the permanent priest serving the congregation in Louis on 18 February 1902 and served until 1914.  In 1914, he became the priest to the congregation in Seelmann.

He was arrested in 1930 along with several other Catholic priests serving the Volga German colonies. His fate after that is unknown.
